Is Jr.NTR on his way to joining the MCU, meets Marvel’s top executive days after expressing his wish of playing a superhero?

Jr.NTR is currently on an interview spree in Hollywood since he is campaigning for Oscars 2023 for his film RRR. Recently, the actor expressed a wish to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, it looks like the universe is conspiring to realize his wish as Jr.NTR met Marvel Studios’ executive, Victoria Alonso, in the US. Reportedly, the short meeting took place during Billboard’s official Golden Globes after-party that was held on January 10 and Variety’s Marc Malkin takes the responsibility of introducing the two. However, nothing substantial is revealed as yet.

Apparently, Jr.NTR’s RRR co-star Ram Charan was also pretty invested in the prospect of introducing Indian superheroes in Hollywood. Revealing his favourite MCU superhero he said, “Captain America! We also have amazing superheroes in India. Why not invite one of our superheroes to come here?” and adding that he will love to take up the role of a superhero.

In a recent interview on an online portal, Jr.NTR said that he’d love to be a part of Marvel films. He said, “I’m waiting for it to happen.” He also revealed that his favourite Marvel superhero is Iron Man and called him extremely ‘relatable’. He said, “He is someone like us. He does not have superpowers. He doesn’t come from a different planet. He’s not someone who has been put through a science experiment and become the Hulk.”

RRR’s song Naatu Naatu won the 2023 Golden Globe Awards for Best Original Score and has been shortlisted in the same category for Oscars 2023. The film has also bagged two more prestigious awards at the 28th edition of the Critics Choice Awards. The accolades include the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Song - Naatu Naatu and the Critics’ choice award for Best Foreign language film. The ceremony took place in Los Angeles. Ram Charan and Jr NTR played the roles of Telugu freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem, respectively. SS Rajamouli's RRR is a fictional story based on the lives of these two freedom fighters.
