Rishab Shetty's Kantara to be screened at UN today on the occasion of Puneeth Rajkumar's birth anniversary

The buzz around Rishab Shetty's Kantara is yet to die down. The critically acclaimed and commercially successful Kannada film has brought fame and recognition to the actor who is already on to the sequel. After a successful run at theatres globally, Kantara will be screened at the United Nations in Geneva, at Pathe Balexert in Hall No 13 today (March 17). Coincidentally, today is veteran Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar's birth anniversary.  

Sharing the news of Kantara's screening at the UN, the Centre for Global Affairs & Public Policy shared on social media, "@shetty_rishab will be talking about Indian Cinema's role in fostering discussions on environment, climate & conservation, at UNHRC Session in Geneva. CGAPP Director Anindya Sengupta met him on the sidelines of the Session as #Kantara star brings Indian stories to world stage."

Rishab, who acted and directed Kantara, will speak about the role of Indian cinema in fostering discussions on environment, climate, and conservation at the UNHRC Session at Genera, CGAPP Director Anindya Sengupta met him on the sidelines of the session, according to the Centre For Global Affairs and Public Police's social media handle.

Kantara was released in Kannada and Hindi on September 30 and October 14, 2022, respectively. The film was written and directed by Rishab Shetty. Produced by Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda, under Hombale Films, it also starred Sapthami Gowda, and Kishore Kumar G in pivotal roles.
