SS Rajamouli has responded to Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra’s request of making a film based on Indus Valley Civilization. Taking to Twitter, Anand re-shared a post on ancient Indian cities including Harappa, Mohenjo Daro, Dholavira, Lothal, Kalibangan, Banawali, Rakhigarhi, Surkotada, Chanhu Daro, and Rupar and asked the filmmaker to make a film.
Responding to him Rajamouli wrote that he wanted to while filming Magadheera but was denied permission to visit Mohenjodaro. However, Anand sent motivations and asked him to go ahead.
Yes sir… While shooting for Magadheera in Dholavira, I saw a tree so ancient that It turned into a fossil. Thought of a film on the rise and fall of Indus valley civilization, narrated by that tree!!
