Kamal Haasan to play antagonist opposite Prabhas in Project K at a whopping Rs 150 crore remuneration? Deets inside

Kamal Haasan, who is busy with the shoot of Shankar’s Indian 2 has reportedly been approached to play the antagonist in Prabhas and Deepika Padukone starrer Project K. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and is directed by Nag Ashwin. The makers have initiated talks with Haasan but the actor is yet to give his affirmation to the role. It was reported that he has been offered a whopping Rs 150 crore for the role, but as per a leading daily there is no truth in this news.

On Tuesday, social media was abuzz with the news that producer Ashwini Dutt had approached Haasan with a whopping offer of Rs 150 crore as remuneration to play the antagonist in Project K. However, a leading daily has negated the report and quoted a source that said, “Talks have been initiated with Kamal sir. He hasn’t even confirmed anything yet. It’ll take another week or two for us to get more clarity on whether he’s accepted the offer or not.”

In a recent interview, Dutt had given several updates about the film including that the film is about modern day avatar of Lord Vishnu and it is 70 percent complete. He had said, “This will be a graphics-heavy film. It’s been five months since we commenced work on the graphics and it’ll go on through the course of next year as well. We’ve completed about 70 percent of the shoot so far.”

He further said, “The film has fantasy and elements of science-fiction. It’s about the modern-day avatar of Vishnu, but at the same time, it’ll be high on sentiment. We’ve also roped in four-five international stunt choreographers to oversee action sequences. Everything you see in the film will leave you stunned.” Project K is slated to release on January 1, 2024.
