Ever since Karan Johar returned with season six of his celebrated celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan, Mondays are no longer so mundane. The actor-director-producer-anchor wants his guests to 'stop making sense' from the word go. Falling in line were Varun Dhawan and Katrina Kaif on a Sunday evening. Perhaps, these episodes filled with juicy gossips and exciting revelations are our guilty pleasure on a weekend night, just before the work week begins.

But something was a little off here. Katrina was at her chatty and presumably candid best whilst Varun finally admitted to his previously non-committal statements. But both these actors refused to take the assigned seat and were eyeing to hijack the show from the moment KJo kept them waiting. Not that we would complain had that happened! Johar, however, only arrived after Dhawan rapped on how the new father should spend more time with his twins and let the next generation take charge. Now, how's that for a change? In no time, the routine followed. The koffee was served, questions and placards in place, host and dost holding the reigns while our good-looking duo ready to take on the rapids.

Wasting not a minute more, Karan dived straight into the dating arena asking Katrina if she ever thought of Varun as a viable choice? The actress split from Ranbir Kapoor after years of a live-in relationship and has been single ever since (at least in the public eye). Hitting a six straight out of the stadium, Dhawan took the opportunity to confirm his courtship with Natasha Dalal and revealed that he plans to marry her. A revelation like that surely deserves the hamper, but did Katrina have any more up her sleeve? Here, check out these 10 'kats' VD and Kat let out of the bag during their appearance on KWK.

1. A blushing Varun Dhawan said it on national television: Yes, I am dating Natasha Dalal. I plan to marry her. He even permitted Karan to talk about his meetings with the actor's sweetheart. Katrina added saying how excited she is for all the weddings but Karan interrupted saying that were invited to none.

2. Brushing aside the awkward question of dating Varun, Katrina launched into the memory of when he and Arjun Kapoor had started an 'I Hate Katrina' Club. However, much to her and our surprise, the formation was because Salman Khan would take the boys for treks, swimming, hiking etc and give them all his attention until Kaif arrived on the sets of Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya. The actress was left 'hurt and upset' after learning of the real reason for she had it all wrong all these years.

3. One of our takeaways from this episode was we now know which celebrity gives excellent love advice: Katrina Kaif. She shared her personal interpretation of the emotion that goes as,

"When neither of you need each other, when there's no great dependency on the other person. There's just admiration, there's respect, there's companionship and there's a space of ease between you."

She also said that her singleton period has got her to be really comfortable with "who she is", which she didn't think she was for a large part of her life.

4. Karan prodded Katrina about her equation with Alia Bhatt, a good friend of the actress who is now dating her ex-beau Ranbir and also his former flame Deepika Padukone. Kaif elaborates on how she deals with individuals one-on-one so maintaining that relation isn't tough. Here's what she replied

"It isn’t tough for me to keep a good equation with Alia. Everyone needs to judge for themselves what’s best for them and how they want to handle their equations and their relationships. My equations with Alia is independent. My equation with Ranbir is independent and same with Deepika. I have individual relationships with all. We are not everyday phone conversation buddies, but I like who she (Alia) is. There is a certain enjoyment of each other’s company and a certain comfort and fun element that we have when we are together and it was a decision that I made. I respect and I value that relationship and it shouldn’t change for anything.”

Varun added his two cents to the matter and said,

"With all due respect to everyone, screw everyone”.

The ABCD 2 star revealed that when a person breaks up with you and moves on with someone they are not concerned or will turn around to ask if you are okay. So it's you who has to take care of your own self.

5. VD told KJo that since Salman has worked with Katrina in so many films, he asked him about 'how to work with her' tips. In a video clip featuring the Dabangg Khan, the 52-year-old advises Dhawan to never miss with the British beauty on topics of filmmaking, medicine (protein supplements, workout meds etc) because he will simply lose. Moreover, never think that you can outdo her in a dance number because she is the most hardworking heroine he knows.

6. The second video clip features Varun's parents David Dhawan and Lali Dhawan. The filmmaker takes pride in what his son has become, leaving him teary-eyed while his mommy opens a pandora box of his naughtiness during growing years. He has been getting female attention since school days his mother recounts after she once found his notebook completed in different handwritings by different girls. He's a ladies' man after all!

7. The rapid-fire round saw Dhawan charging some spunky, fun and knife-edge responses. He refused to exchange his career with Ranbir or Ranveer Singh because they have both had failures! That certainly was a missile considering how big of stars the two handsome men are.

Varun also had funny replies to what he would ask Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, and Salman Khan if he was a part of the Paparazzi.

8. Throwing punch-lines one after the other, VD was asked to choose between sex and blockbuster when he packed another: “ A big hit is like the best orgasm.” The actor also revealed that “Let’s have vegetarian tonight” can make him fall out of love.

9. Katrina's answers during the rapid-fire round were neither fast nor fuelling. The actress put in too much of thought. When asked about what she loves, hates and tolerates in Salman she replied, “I love his loyalty...hate some of his opinions and tolerate his tardiness.” Getting back to the same question for Alia, Kat said, she loved the 25-year-old's free spirit, hates that she doesn't put in a lot of work into her work and tolerates that Alia doesn't put a lot of work at the gym yet the looks. She called her naturally gifted.

10. While Katrina wants to work with Vicky Kaushal we feel the actor should keep his belongings locked because the actress is a 'walking, talking kleptomaniac.' She shops off people as testified by BFFs Mini Mathur and Yasmin Karachiwala.
