The much-anticipated ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ is set to return for its 16th season next month. Host Amitabh Bachchan began shooting for the popular game show today, July 24. According to sources, the megastar completed a mock shoot a few days ago and is now ready to kick-start the new season with the production team.
Sources informed IndiaToday.in that the team is enthusiastic about the new season, having retained the original format without implementing any significant changes. "The team had a wonderful mock shoot and is pumped to begin work on the season with new energy. Bachchan sir, of course, is as excited as always to come back to the KBC set," said a source.
Amitabh Bachchan, currently riding high on the success of his recent film Kalki, shared an update on his blog: “Love and respect ... it’s very late ... just got back from work ... and have to leave again for work in a few short hours ... so shall connect later ...,” he posted late Monday night.
In other television news, Zakir Khan's comedy show ‘Aap Ka Apna Zakir’ will start shooting on July 25. The show, featuring Rithvik Dhanjani, Shweta Tiwari, Paresh Ganatra, and Gopal Dutt, will blend comedy skits with celebrity interviews.
In a promo, comedian Zakir Khan promised, “Khushiyon ki guarantee hai, manoranjan ka wadaa aur sabka dil jeet lunga, from baccha to dada (I guarantee happiness and entertainment. I will win hearts from children to elders).”
Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 is scheduled to air Monday to Friday at 9 pm starting August 12, while Aap Ka Apna Zakir will premiere on August 10 and will be broadcast on weekends.
