In a significant development on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, a new actor has been announced to step into the role of Goli, following the departure of Kush Shah. 

Shah, who has been a cherished part of the show since its debut in July 2008, has left the show to pursue further studies in New York, United States. Kush Shah's departure will be marked with an emotional farewell in the upcoming episodes, where viewers will witness a heartfelt cake-cutting ceremony and tributes from his co-stars. Reflecting on his time on the show, Shah expressed his gratitude to fans, stating, “I’ll make you all proud. Thank you so much. I have completed 16 years on this show, and the journey has been beautiful. Although I am leaving, the character of Goli will continue to bring the same joy and mischief. An actor might change, but not the essence of Goli.”
