Presently seen in Season 2 of The Great Indian Kapil Show Kiku recently shared insights into his enduring partnership with Kapil Sharma and his perspective on donning attire for comedic parts.
During a conversation with The Indian Express Kiku Sharda opened up about his comfort level when it comes to dressing up as a woman for his comedic routines. Sharda who is recognized for portraying different characters in Kapil Sharma’s shows mentioned that he has been taking on these roles since his time on The Great Indian Comedy Show. "I never had any apprehensions about dressing up as a woman. I am an actor, so I should be able to deliver everything that comes my way. As long as I make it entertaining, it's fine," he shared.
Kiku stressed that he makes it a point to depict female characters in a way that is both respectful and charming. "Whenever I play a woman character, I make sure it is very dignified and stays in the cute zone. If the audience hadn’t accepted it, I wouldn’t have continued. But it has been done well, and I’m glad people enjoy it."
Reflecting on his years working alongside Kapil Sharma, Kiku shared his deep appreciation and thankfulness for the experiences they’ve had together. "Working with Kapil has been a different high. It’s been 11 years that I’ve been doing the show, and it has helped me learn so much and grow both professionally and personally. It’s shaped me into who I am today," Kiku acknowledged how his connection with the well-known comedian had a profound effect on him.
