The role of a casting director in movies or television serial is often very important and a tricky one, because their work comes in much before the start of the project and if the casting is done right than the job is half done. However, that seems to be tricky for the makers of The Inside Edge. The second season of the popular web series starring Vivek Oberoi is facing a dilemma since they are unable to cast for the role of Bhaisaab, the character that Vivek often speaks to on screen. The producers have put the shooting on hold as they are unable to find a suitable actor to play the role.
According to a source, “The producers wanted to first sign on Naseeruddin Shah, but things didn’t work out. Then, they wanted to cast Sanjay Dutt for the part, but he is already committed to several movies. So, until they get the right actor, it’s unlikely they will begin shooting soon.” The source further explained about the character, “Bhaisaab has created plenty of curiosity. Considering that the idea with the second season is to surpass the first, it has become necessary to give a face to the character that had an element of mystery. And since he’s a powerful man, it’s important to have the right actor play the part. Given that he’s integral to the screenplay and is still to be cast, the shoot for the second season is yet to be scheduled.”
