Guns are an integral part and play a pivotal role in the trailer of Amazon Prime Video’s Mirzapur, a crime thriller set in Uttar Pradesh and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The series is all set to stream on Amazon Prime from November 16.
Mirzapur trailer introduces us to Pankaj Tripathi plays the role of Akhandanand Tripathi, also known as Kaleen Bhai on the account of the beautiful carpets that he sells and rules Mirzapur with terror, guns and drugs. Divyendu Sharma plays his son, Munna who is vying for his empire and wants his father to have faith in him. Vikrant Massey and Ali Fazal play brothers who want to make money by boosting gun sales. In fact, Fazal even says in the trailer that he is going to make Mirzapur into America and use guns for defence as well as attack.

Fazal has some of the best dialogues in the trailer and he seems to be the main challenger to the rule of Tripathi. His gumption is really surprising giving his recent outings where he usually played a lover boy or a mild character. The series also stars Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur, Sheeba Chadha and Kulbhushan Kharbanda.
The nine-episode series has been created by Karan Anshuman and Puneet Krishna and directed by Gurmmeet Singh.
