Gone are the days when only Bollywood films would shatter box-office records. With growing digitalization, OTT platforms are the next big thing and producers are getting associated with topline digital platforms to bring stories which tap the pulse of the audience. As there are no-censor guidelines the content on digital space has become more realistic and based on facts.
Peepingmoon has exclusively learned that a web show on controversial diamond merchant Nirav Modi is being conceptualized for a premium digital platform. He is accused of defrauding the state-owned Punjab National Bank (PNB) with over Rs 13,700 crore. He is currently undergoing extradition proceedings at the UK for money laundering charges amounting up to $2 billion.

Throwing more light on the web show the source informed PeepingMoon, “The web show will be directed and produced by an ace Bollywood photographer who has shot portfolios of bigwigs of B-town. The series will cover the initial days of Modi, his growth as a diamond merchant and how he allegedly swindled the banks and creditors and turned fugitive. The script will be no less than a Hollywood thriller. It's narrative is likely to be similar to 2013 American biographical black comedy and crime film, The Wolf of Wall Street.”
The source further added, “The crew has apparently has done a recce in London and plans to shoot the first schedule in the forthcoming week.”
