Shah Rukh Khan's production house, Red Chillies Entertainment, already has two Netflix projects in the pipeline. The first one is Bard of Blood starring Emraan Hashmi. The second is a Netflix original film, Class of 83, directed by Atul Sabharwal and starring Bobby Deol in the lead. Not just that, it was recently reported that SRK is bankrolling another political thriller for Netflix, which apparently runs into the political ground of India between 2000 and 2019, tracing the political relations between two major parties.
Now according to a report in a leading daily, SRK has gone beyond the role of a producer and is busy penning the web show with his team of writers. "Khan, who is enjoying a self-imposed sabbatical since Zero (2018), has joined the writing team in scripting the show. He sits with the team, which includes renowned political columnists, to discuss the material every day. Given his vast knowledge of world politics, he comes up with scenes, referencing them from real-life events and the workings of the political dynasties around the globe. Whether he is taking credit for the concept or writing is yet to be known. However, the superstar has taken to writing keenly," the daily quoted a source as saying.
Well, it seems SRK is enjoying his sabbatical from acting to the fullest by exploring production and writing!
Meanwhile, his next project, Bard of Blood is a multi-lingual series, which will tell the story of an expelled spy, Kabir Anand who is recalled from his new life as a professor in Panchgani to save his country and long-lost love. Based on Bilal Siddiqui's book of the same name, the show will air from on September 27.
