The list for 2019 International Emmy Nominees has been announced and Netflix’s Hindi originals, Lust Stories and Sacred Games Season 2 have earned a spot. The Remix, a music reality show on Amazon Prime Video has been nominated for the Best Non-Scripted Entertainment award. Sacred Games 2  has received the nomination in the Best Drama category while Lust Stories has earned two nominations- one for Best Miniseries and another for Radhika Apte for Best Actor.

Both Lust Stories and Sacred Games garnered acclaim and brought the kind of bold, original content that was an instant hit with the Indian audience. Anurag Kashyap who worked on both Lust Stories and Sacred Games shared the news on social media, so did Karan Johar who directed a short story in Lust Stories.

Lust Stories is a Netflix film and is a collection of four short stories directed by Kashyap, Karan, Zoya Akhtar and Dibakar Banerjee. The film is competing with Se Eu Fechar Os Olhos Agora (Brazil), Safe Harbour (Australia) and Trezor (Hungary) for the Best TV Movie/Mini Series, whereas Radhika, who is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress is going head-to-head alongside Jenna Coleman (BBC's The Cry), Marjorie Estiano (Brazil's Sob Pressão Season 2) and Marina Gera in (Hungary's Orok Tel). Radhika plays a married college professor named Kalindi who has an affair with her student Tejas (played by Akshay Thosar).

Sacred Games 2 stars Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead and has been co-directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and Anurag Kashyap. Vikramaditya Motwane is the showrunner while Varun Grover is the lead writer. The Remix has Sunidhi Chauhan, Amit Trivedi and Nucleya as the judges on the show. The awards ceremony will take place on November 25 in New York City.
