It was pretty path-breaking and I hope so we win: Saif Ali Khan on Sacred Games 2's International Emmy 2019 nomination

Netflix' popular web series Sacred Games 2, with its International Emmy 2019 nomination, sent its audience into a zone of excitement and why not. The crime thriller that marked the digital debut of Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who played the role of Sartaj Singh and Ganesh Gaitonde, received the nomination in the Best Drama category. Talking about the nomination, Saif, during an interview with a leading daily, said International Emmy nomination is a great feeling and credited the success of the show to the team.

"The OTT platform on which the series was streamed encourages you to tell your stories the way you do it but in an international manner. So, it is kind of correct that if it does get nominated, it is for an international award, full credit to the team and the production. It feels great."

While Guruji (Pankaj Tripathi), introduced in season one as Gaitonde's 'third father', plays a pivotal role in unfolding a chain of events.
