Parth Samthaan is undoubtedly one of the bankable stars on television currently. With his portrayal of Anurag Basu in Ekta Kapoor produced Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, the handsome actor has wowed the audience with his boyish charm along with a dash of maturity. While we have all loved him for his lover boy avatar, Parth is all set to take a step forward and experiment with a genre that will showcase him as a gangster. Well, yes. Parth has been roped in to play the role of a gangster in ALT Balaji's crime thriller Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu. The first teaser of the web show was shared on ALT Balaji's social media platforms and oh darling, it seems to be one thrilling ride.
Speaking of the video, Parth makes for a glamourous gangster who wants to rule over Mumbai's showbiz world. From counterfeiting DVD rackets to smuggling, extortion, killings and shootouts, Parth's Nawab is the 'hero' of his own story. Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu is a black and white show that adds to the flavour of the content. Talking about Parth, the actor aces his dialogues with natural ease and slips into a different and intense character brilliantly.
Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu is said to chronicle the rise of the underworld don Nawab's rise from 1980s to 1990s. Reports suggest that the show will be loosely based on the life of Abu Salem who was infamous for Bollywood extortion during that period.
Parth, during an interview with a media agency, told that he is excited to star in his first full-fledged web venture with ALT Balaji. He added that the show will portray him a completely different avatar and is far from the usual content. "I am extremely excited about this new project as it is my first full-fledged web venture with ALTBalaji. It's a gangster-based show from the '90s and my character is inspired by a true story. I have been known for playing a perfect hero kind on television which has received immense love from my fans and audiences. With this show, I am venturing into a completely new territory and viewers will get to see me in a completely different avatar. The character has its own machismo, attitude, glamour style from the '90s and far from the usual stuff," Parth told.
