In a big reveal, the teaser of Stranger Things Season 4 was shared online on Valentine’s Day. It confirmed the return of fan-favourite Jim Hopper. The teaser takes us to Russia where prisoners can be seen working on constructing a railroad while being watched by unrelenting Russian soldier guards. Tom Wlaschiha is one of the senior guards but all eyes are on David Harbour’s Hopper who is one of the prisoners, although he is bald here.
It is revealed in the course of this extremely short teaser that Hopper is alive but captive in a Russian prison camp. Stranger Things Season 3 ended with Hopper sacrificing himself to save everyone but the final teaser of the finale teleported to Russia and made reference to ‘the American’ his death seemed very unlikely and now, here he is, serving in a prison camp.
