Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda is all set to make his Hollywood debut with Sam Hargrave’s directorial Extraction which stars actor Chris Hemsworth in the lead. The film has been produced by Russo Brothers, directors of Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame. In the recently released trailer, Randeep dons a rugged and chiseled look, and from the glimpses, he has matched Chris blow by blow, and the sequences are going to be absolutely thrilling and hair raising.
Now in an interaction with international journalists at the film's set in Bangkok, Randeep talked about his character and said, “My character, as they say, is the wrecking ball. He is responsible for Chris and other characters’ involvement. His people don’t have the money so he feels that we will just give them the job and when it’s time to pay, he will just whack them out and take the boy home," adding, “but it turns out that Rake is a tough Aussie and you cannot get past that."
Randeep further quipped how working on Extraction was stepping into another world and pointed out, “I got a great gun and I was waiting to fire some blanks and be like Rambo. I’ve never done this kind of action before. It was really, really cool. The stunt team in this movie was absolutely amazing whether it is driving, guns or hand-to-hand combat." The actor called his co-star Chris a “quintessentially an easy going guy”. On working with him, he said, “It has been an absolute pleasure working with him. We exchanged a few blows but that’s okay. He is a quintessentially easy-going Aussie who does not have any airs about him." Lastly, Randeep pointed out that he is not strictly mainstream and claimed that streaming services have further blurred the borders for artistes around the world.
Also starring Rudhraksh Jaiswal, Pankaj Tripathi, Golshifteh Farahani, David Harbour and Priyanshu Painyuli in key roles, Extraction streams from April 24 on Netflix.
