PeepingMoon was the first one to inform its readers that Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment is all set to produce Netflix series Betaal starring Viineet Kumar, Aahana Kumra, Suchitra Pillai, Jitendra Joshi, Manjiri Pupala and Syna Anand. Now, the makers of the show have released the first look of the show.
The show is based on a remote village that becomes the theatre of a breathless battle when a two-century-old Betaal, a British Indian Army officer, and his battalion of zombie redcoats are unleashed upon the locals. With the CIPD (Counter Insurgency Police Division) pitted against the undead army, hapless villagers are trapped in a horrific, edge-of-your-seat conflict.

The show is written and directed by Graham and co-directed by Nikhil Mahajan. This will mark as the third piece of content to be produced by Red Chillies Entertainment for the streaming site, after Bard of Blood, featuring Emraan Hashmi, and Class of 83 with Bobby Deol.
Executive Produced by Blumhouse Television and SK Global Entertainment, and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the series is set to release on Netflix from May 24, 2020.
