As India is fighting Coronavirus for the last two months, shoots of new films, television shows and web content are stalled. This has resulted in various platforms incurring major losses due to no income. Now, as shoots of television soaps are said to resume from June end, a few leading streaming platforms are also reportedly re-working on the budgets for their upcoming shows. While digital giants are looking into the heavy losses incurred in these two months, reports suggested that Amazon Prime Video, as well as Netflix, are slashing down the budgets of series namely Mirzapur 2, The Family Man 2 and Made In Heaven 2.
However, the makers of The Family Man 2 starring Manoj Bajpayee, Samantha Akkineni and Priyamani, Raj & DK, in a tweet, dismissed the report as false. The director duo also informed that the shoot was concluded before the lockdown was announced and pay cut for them isn't applicable at this stage. "We've been getting calls about news that we are facing budget cuts on #TheFamilyMan. We have NOT been asked to cut budgets on either this show or any of our upcoming shows. In fact we have finished shoot on TFM, so the topic of budget cuts is not even relevant," Raj & DK wrote.

The makers of Mirzapur 2 starring Pankaj Tripathi and Ali Fazal amongst several others, have agreed to the pay cut, if the report is to be believed. On the other hand, Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, the creators of Made In Heaven 2 are said to have agreed to reduce the number of episodes. Zoya, a while ago, shared a picture of the script indicating that the show is in its nascent stage.
The makers of Mirzapur 2 and Made In Heaven 2 are yet to react to the report.
