Dil Bechara Trailer: Sushant Singh Rajput's and Sanjana Sanghi's film is a celebration of life

Sushant Singh Rajput left for his heavenly abode sending all into a zone of shock. The actor, 34, died of suicide on June 14 at his Bandra residence. While his family, friends and fans are coping up with the loss, the makers of his last film Dil Bechara have released the much-awaited trailer today (July 6). Directed by Mukesh Chhabra, the film marks the debut of Sanjana Sanghi. Dil Bechara is the official Hindi adaptation of the 2014 Hollywood film The Fault In Our Stars based on the best-selling novel by John Green of the same name. Sushant played the role of Immanuel Rajkumar Junior or Manny while Sanjana will be seen as Kizie Basu.

The trailer opens to Kizie introducing herself and mentions about her struggle with cancer. Soon, she meets Manny, a person full of life and excitement. He brings in the ray of hope, joy and light in her life. With the message that love makes everything okay or as they say the Tamil word seri (okay) in the trailer, Kizie and Manny are two opposite poles who unite on a journey to celebrate life and friendship despite all odds. The trailer pays an ode to Sushant's legacy. The actor will make you smile, cry, dance and sing along. The dialogue that is said by Sushant's Manny- "Janam kab lena hai aur marna kab hai, hum decide nahi kar sake" will hit you hard.

Dil Bechara was formerly titled Kizie Aur Manny. With the film, Mukesh makes his directorial debut. The Hindi adaptation of The Fault In Our Stars is by Shashank Khaitan and Suprotim Sengupta. Apart from Sushant and Sanjana, Saif Ali Khan will be seen in a cameo. It will be available on Disney+Hotstar from July 24 for subscribers as well as non-subscribers.
