Janhvi Kapoor’s Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl has been making the right amount of buzz ever since it was announce. The biopic, based on the life of the first Indian female airforce pilot Gunjan Saxena who went into combat during the Kargil war, is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The trailer was released on August 1 and it received a good response from the audience. Now, the makers have dropped its first song titled Bharat Ki Beti.
Janhvi's first song from Gunjan Saxena - The Kargil Girl is a heartfelt tribute to India's daughters. Janhvi as Gunjan Saxena aims high as she fights for her dreams in Bharat Ki Beti. The actress is seen training for the airforce before getting rejected for it in the song. It also features Pankaj Tripathi and Angad Bedi. The soulful track is composed and produced by Amit Trivedi and sung by Arijit Singh.
Janhvi shared the song on Instagram and wrote, "Bharat Ki Beti. A tribute to dreams and those who live for it and fly for it! This song strings together the heart & soul of this film - for every #BharatKiBeti out there, saluting you." She also shared a few stills from the song.
Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl stars Janhvi, Angad, Pankaj, Viineet Kumar and Manav Vij. It is directed by Sharan Sharma who is making his directorial debut with it. Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is produced by Karan Johar under his production banner Dharma Productions. The film is gearing up for a direct-to-web release. It will premiere on Netflix on August 12, 2020.
