Director, actor, writer and producer, Prakash Jha is well-known to come out with films that showcase India’s social-economic and societal problems. Now the filmmaker is back with his new film Pareeksha starring Adil Hussain in the lead that takes a look at the education system in India. The film is up for release at an opportune moment as the nation’s education policy has undergone a tremendous change.
Ahead of the film’s direct-to-web release the trailer has been dropped and it shows Adil as a humble rickshaw driver who is hell-bent on seeing his meritorious son get into a good school so that he can get a good education. However, his dreams and efforts become irritants in the elite people’s eyes who do not want a poor man’s son get the same privilege.
For the sake of his son’s future Buchchi is ready to foresake everything. Will his sacrifice pay off?

Besides Adil, the film also stars Sanjay Suri, Priyanka Bose, Shourya Deep and is inspired by real-life events. The film premieres on August 6 on Zee5.
