‘I’m Thinking of Ending Things’ Trailer: Jessie Buckley’s, Jesse Plemons’, Toni Collette’s and David Thewlis’ film makes meeting parents of your significant other a scary and unsettling task

The trailer of Charlie Kaufman’s film adaptation of Ian Reid’s unsettling horror-drama debut novel I’m Thinking of Ending Things has just dropped and it will definitely leave you a bit wary. Meeting the parents of your boyfriend could always be daunting but most of our experiences do not turn into a situation that makes us question our entire reality.

The trailer of I’m Thinking of Ending Things sees a young woman meeting her boyfriend’s family for the first time despite her feelings of ending things. The meeting soon goes haywire and culminates at the point of no return.

The film stars Jessie Buckley as an unnamed young woman who takes a road trip with her boyfriend (Jesse Plemons) to meet his family at a remote farm. Toni Collette plays the mother whereas David Thewlis plays the father. The family has an unusual dog that cannot stop shaking. The trailer is unnerving as the ‘Girlfriend’ finds bizarre events occurring with a childhood picture of her boyfriend that she feels is her and a cashier at a Dairy Queen that seems familiar, and other women tell her to stay away from the farm. She keeps thinking of ‘ending things’ with her boyfriend but unfortunately find themselves stranded because of a snowstorm.
