Netflix dropped the first poster of its upcoming series The Haunting of Bly Manor today. It is the follow-up to the super scary and unsettling The Haunting of Hill House but will have a totally different story. Netflix shared the poster with the caption, “New residents, mysteries and a terrifying curse. Not all is as it seems at Bly Mansion.”
Based on Henry James’ 1898 gothic horror novella The Turn of the Screw, the story is about a young governess who moves to the English countryside to care for two orphaned children and starts to believe the grounds are haunted after encountering evidence of grim history and entities that she can’t explain.

The Haunting of Bly Manor stars Victoria Pedretti, Henry Thomas, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Kate Siegel and Catherine Parker — who respectively played The Haunting of Hill House’s Nell, Hugh, Luke, Theo and Poppy. However, they will all be playing different parts this time. They will be joined by Rahul Kohli and Amelia Eve. Henry Thomas will play Henry Wingrave, the wealthy uncle of the two orphaned children. He wants little to do with the estate or the son and daughter of his late brother and sister-in-law, but is content to support them from afar, so long as he doesn’t have to visit the manor himself.
The franchise is created by Mike Flanagan. The show will stream this fall on Netflix.
