Bhumi Pednekar and Konkana Sen Sharma's satire film Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare premiered at the 24th Busan International Film Festival last year. Now, after much wait, the film directed by Alankrita Shrivastava is all set to greet the audience seated at home due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The Ekta Kapoor-produced satire will release on Netflix on September 18. Ahead of its much-awaited premiere, the makers of Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare shared its trailer today.
Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare revolves around two sisters Dolly and Kajal aka Kitty. Dolly is a married woman with a son. She dreams of living a luxurious life and isn't happy with her husband's unambitious ways. On the other hand, Kitty, a small-town girl, relocates to a big city and joins a company as a cyber-lover. On the way to earn money to afford a living, Kitty meets a man and falls in love. Although critical of each other, Dolly and Kitty know they can share their secrets with each other. On a dramatic and twisted journey, the sisters discover the true meaning of freedom.
Written by Alankrita, Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare also stars Vikrant Massey, Aamir Bashir, Karan Kundra, Kubbra Sait and Amol Parashar.
