Ever since Akshay Kumar's comedy-horror Laxmmi Bomb was announced, the excitement among cine enthusiasts and fans of the actor shot high. The official Hindi remake of the Tamil blockbuster Kanchana, Laxmmi Bomb is directed by Raghava Lawrence who starred and helmed the original four-film franchise. The film also stars Kiara Advani as the female lead.
Now, as the comedy-horror is inching closer to its web release on Disney+ Hotstar, the makers have dropped the film's trailer and it seems promising. The 3.40 minutes trailer opens with Akshay saying he does not believe in ghosts and if he ever witnesses one, he will wear choodiyan (bangles). "Jis dinn mere saamne bhoot aya na, main choodiyan pehen lunga," he says.
Things turn upside down when Akshay’s behaviour slowly begins to change and he acquires a feminine trait. With a trademark red bindi, choodiyan, Akshay transforms into a sari-clad ghost and leaves everyone shocked. What we see next is a circus of family and ghosts and how Akshay as Laxxmi takes her revenge in a funnily explosive manner. There is also a glimpse of Akshay's and Kiara's song Burj Khalifa in the trailer.
Along with being a laugh riot, the trailer of Akshay's Laxmmi Bomb presents an unique combination of funny moments and scary ones. It will be the first time that Akshay will be portraying the role of a man possessed by the ghost of a transgender.
