In what could be one of the biggest line-up of A-list talent since Steven Soderbergh got his Ocean’s Eleven team together, Netflix and Adam McKay have given Jennifer Lawrence a bevy of co-stars to join her in Don’t Look Up. The film’s stellar ensemble cast include Leonardo Dicaprio, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Himesh Patel, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi, Matthew Perry and Tomer Sisley along with Rob Morgan who was previously announced.
The film follows two-level astronomers who take on a media tour to warn mankind of an approaching asteroid that threaten the existence of mankind and will destroy Earth. While most of the cast was loosely attached with Don’t Look Up since the spring, it was DiCaprio who needed some convincing to come on board.
The cast of Adam McKay's DON'T LOOK UP is absolutely iconic:

This will also be DiCaprio’s digital debut of a kind as he remained one of the few stars who hadn’t starred in a project produced by Netflix. He had flirted with handful of Netflix projects but never fully committed to any. His next two films will be produced by Netflix with Don’t Look Up and Killers of the Flower Moon that is directed by Martin Scorsese.
Don’t Look Up will be written and directed by McKay. He is also co-producing along with Kevin Messick under McKay’s Hyperobject Industries Banner. Given the heavy-duty ensemble the film would seems likely to have a theatrical release as well.
