Bhumi Pednekar's Durgamati is one of the highly anticipated films of the year. The supernatural thriller will release on December 11, 2020, on Amazon Prime Video. Now, as the release date is inching closer, the makers dropped in a surprise for fans today. Akshay Kumar, who is presenting Durgamati, dropped in a teaser poster on social media today. On Monday, it was informed that the film previously titled Durgavati is now Durgamati.
In the teaser poster, Bhumi aka Durgamati is seated on a snake-shaped throne. Dressed in a red saree, a large nose-pin and bindi, the actress looks fierce. "It's payback time! Get ready to meet #DurgamatiOnPrime on Dec 11, @primevideoin. Trailer out tomorrow!," Akshay wrote.

Directed by Ashok G, produced by Vikram Malhotra and presented by Akshay and Bhushan Kumar, Durgamati is the official Hindi adaptation of Anushka Shetty's Telugu superhit Bhaagamathie, which orbited around a woman imprisoned in a haunted house while being interrogated in a corruption case involving a politician.
