Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap will be sharing the screen space in Netflix's upcoming film titled AK vs AK. While the release date is yet to be announced, Anurag and Anil engaged in a fun Twitter banter this afternoon. The witty exchange started after Anil hailed Shefali Shah starrer Delhi Crime's Emmy win.
Anil, on Twitter, wrote, "I've said it once and I'll say it again because they absolutely deserve it! Congratulations to the #DelhiCrime team! Nice to finally see more of our people get international recognition." In response to this, Anurag quipped, "Nice to see some deserving people get international recognition. Waise, aapka Oscar kidhar hain? No? Achha... nomination?"

Sharing a picture from the Oscars when Slumdog Millionaire bagged awards, Anil wrote, "The closest you have come to an Oscar is watching Slumdog Millionaire win Oscars on TV. #TumseNaHoPayega." Anurag replied, "Says the k-k-k-ing of hand-me-down films. Weren’t you the second choice for this film also?"

Taking a dig at Anurag, the ever-handsome actor wrote, "Hand-me-down or pick-me-up: I don’t care. Work is work. Tumhare jaise kaam dhoondte waqt baal toh nahi nochne padte. #actorlife" Commenting on Anil's 'hair', the filmmaker tweeted, "Sir, you don’t talk about hair. Aapko toh apne baal ke dum pe roles milte hain. #BaalBaalBaloo #TheJungleLife"

Calling himself 'The Real AK', Anil responded to Anurag's tweet with a hilarious comment. "Beta, you need serious skills to have a career like mine. Aise hi nahi chal rahi humari gaadi 40 saal se. #TheRealAK," he wrote. Sharing posters of Anil's flop films, Anurag took a dig by writing, "Sir har 40 saal purani gaadi ko vintage nahi kehte. Kuch ko khatara bhi kehte hain. #retirementcalling"

AK vs AK is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. According to PeepingMoon sources, the film is about a Bollywood star's tryst with stardom and highlights the ugly journey of a director and actor. Anurag will be playing a filmmaker whose big budget film tanks at the box office and Anil will be playing a superstar whom Anurag approaches to star in his next film.
