Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Rajkummar Rao and Adarsh Gaurav are all set for The White Tiger. The makers released the trailer last month and from the looks of it, the film seems promising with a deep and dark subject attached to it. Now, PeeCee's husband Nick has praised the film and his wife's performance.
Nick took to Instagram Stories to share a video of himself watching the film's trailer on two television screens and wrote, "Get ready! This movie is unreal and my wife @priyankachopra is exceptional in it." In the second part of the video, he was seen giving a big thumbs up to the film.
The White Tiger touches upon the subjects like corruption, class divide, poverty that still exists in society. The social satire tells the story of Priyanka (Pinky) and Rajkummar (Ashik) who hire Balram (Adarsh) as their driver. However, one night due to some circumstances the couple pushes him into the puddle to save themselves. How Balram refuses to fall for the trap and rebels against the class system in India, is the highlight of the story.
The White Tiger is based on an ambitious driver (Adarsh Gourav) of a rich Indian couple (Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Rajkummar Rao) who uses his wit and cunning to escape from poverty and become an entrepreneur. The White Tiger is based on the bestselling novel by Aravind Adiga, directed and written for the screen by Ramin Bahrani and executive produced by Ava DuVernay, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and producer Mukul Deora.
The White Tiger will release on Netflix on January 22, 2020.
