PeepingMoon, on November 12, 2020, had exclusively informed its readers that Randeep Hooda will be making his Hindi digital debut with a series titled Inspector Avinash. Co-starring Urvashi Rautela, Mahesh Manjrekar, Freddy Daruwala, Priyanka Bose, Adhyayan Suman, Amit Sial and Abhimanyu Singh, the show will be directed by Neerraj Pathak. He has previously helmed Sunny Deol's Bhaiyyaji Superhit.
Now, the cop thriller show went on floors today and will be set in Uttar Pradesh. Jio Studios is producing the show. In Inspector Avinash, Randeep will be playing the role of an Uttar Pradesh police officer dealing with crimes in Uttar Pradesh. The show was to go on floors in 2020 but got delayed due to the COVID-19 lockdown. It is produced by Gold Mountain Pictures and Jio Studios.
