Karan Johar is collaborating with Netflix for yet another interesting web project. Titled Ajeeb Daastaans, the anthology of four strangely contrasting stories will release on the OTT giant on April 16. Ahead of the much-awaited premiere, the makers of the anthology released its trailer on social media.
Ajeeb Daastaans is an anthology of four twisted and complicated tales. In director Shashank Khaitan's short film, Jaideep Ahlawat, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Armaan Ralhan play the lead. Jaideep and Fatima are newlyweds who face troubles in their marriage. Speaking of Raj Mehta's film, Nushrratt Bharuccha stars as a house-help who is being forced to compromise for the welfare of her sister played by Inayat Verma. Abhishek Banerjee also plays a key role in it.
Neeraj Ghaywan directs Aditi Rao Hydari and Konkona Sen Sharma in his short revolving around same-sex love. In Kayoze Irani's short film, Manav Kaul plays a mute man who falls in love with Shefali Shah, who is married and has a daughter. The young girl is also mute.
Ajeeb Daastaans is written by Shashank Khaitan, Sumit Saxena, Neeraj Ghaywan and Uzma Khan.
