The trailer of the much anticipated Zack Snyder’s directorial Army of the Dead dropped online on Tuesday. The trailer is gripping from the word go and follows Snyder’s penchant for attaching soulful, melodious music to the mayhem and battle that is in store. Starring Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana de la Reguera, Theo Rossi and Hiroyuki Sanada, Army of the Dead marks Huma Qureshi's Hollywood debut. The actress makes a blink-and-you-miss appearance in the trailer which has some seriously high-octane action sequences.
The trailer of Army of the Dead begins with casino boss Bly Tanaka (Hiroyuki Sanada) approaching former zombie war hero Scott Ward (Dave Bautista) with a proposal that will earn him $50 million. Scott, a displaced Vegas local leads a quiet life flipping burgers at an eatery now, is approached to enter Las Vegas, a zombie-infested quarantined zone to retrieve $200 million lying in a strip club vault before the city is nuked by the government in 32 hours.
To get $200 million out of a zombie-infested Las Vegas, they have to go all in.

Driven by hope that the payoff could help him reconcile with his estranged daughter Kate (Ella Purnell), Ward takes on the challenge and assembles a ragtag team of experts for the deadly heist. Scott finds an unexpected emotional hurdle when Kate joins the expedition to search for Geeta (Huma Qureshi), a mother who’s gone missing inside the city. However, what they had not envisioned was the onslaught of alpha zombies – smarted and much faster than them.
Army of the Dead also stars Matthias Schweighöfer, Nora Arnezeder, Tig Notaro, Raúl Castillo, Samantha Win, Michael Cassidy, Richard Cetrone, and Garret Dillahunt. It will release in select theatres and on Netflix on May 21.
