Netflix has unveiled an official trailer for the second half of Lucifer season 5 part 2, which is scheduled to debut globally on May 28. Tom Ellis returns as the titular, Lucifer Morningstar, the bored and unhappy Lord of Hell, who decides one day to resign from his kingdom and abandon his throne and subsequently comes to Earth. In his capacity as an earth-dweller he offers his assistance to LAPD detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) in his bid to understand humanity better.
In the second half of Season 5, God (Dennis Haysbert) himself arrives on Earth and brings along with him some daddy issues. His relationship with Lucifer is a terse one and hence a lot of drama unfolds. However, he also gets a rebuke from Chloe for his abysmal parenting skills.
