Due to the rise in demand for web content, popular television shows are getting their digital sequel in the past 1-2 years. Daily soaps like Jamai Raja and Qubool Hai returned with fresh seasons on the OTT and were received well by the audience. The second season of Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput's Pavitra Rishta will be heading to OTT too. Now, according to an entertainment portal's report, another Ekta Kapoor show is going digital. Nausheen Ali Sardar and Anuj Saxena's popular show Kkusum is said to be getting its sequel which will feature fresh faces.
A source close to the development told the portal, "Just like Pavitra Rishta, Ekta is planning to have a digital sequel of Kkusum. The show will have fresh faces in the series and auditions are on in full swing. The series will premiere on her OTT space, ALT Balaji."
Kkusum also starred Shweta Kawatra, Narayani Shastri, Karanvir Bohra, Rucha Gujarathi, Shilpa Saklani and others. It revolved around Kkusum (Nausheen), a middle-class girl who marries a rich playboy Abhay (Anuj).
