The Family Man 2 trailer, starring Manoj Bajpayee and Samantha Akkineni, finally released on Amazon Prime Video's Youtube channel on Wednesday. Fans of the series were waiting eagerly for the trailer to release and ever since it dropped, it has garnered over 16 million views.
However, a certain section on the internet seems to be offended by the trailer. A section of the society has taken to social media to accuse the web series of depicting Chennai and Tamil Nadu in a bad light. They have denounced the series as ‘anti-Tamil’. Hashtags such as #ShameOnYouSamantha and #FamilyMan2_against_Tamils began trending on Twitter following its launch. After seeing the trailer, many have also demanded a public apology from the series directors Raj and DK.
If the series has anything that hurts the Tamils and Eelam Tigers, It should and it will be banned for hurting Tamils. Don't talk about anything if you don't know about our History. Puligal ungalai vettaiyadi vidum.#FamilyMan2_against_Tamils pic.twitter.com/WJHSjHS6PE
