Netflix has revealed the release date for the final season of the series Money Heist. According to today’s announcement, the most famous heist in history will come to an end in two installments of five episodes each: volume 1 will be released on September 3 and volume 2 will be released on December 3, 2021.
Releasing the teaser, Netflix India wrote on Instagram, "BELLA CHILLAO The final part of Money Heist arrives this year! Volume 1: September 3. Volume 2: December 3. You can bank on it to be explosive #MoneyHeist5" The promo has garnered over 100k views within minutes of going live on YouTube.
The 1 minute 9 seconds teaser begins with Tokyo's (Úrsula Corberó) voice-over saying, "The most important moments are those when we know there is no return". In the background, Linkin Park's, In The End, plays with close-up shots of Professor, Tokyo, Monica, Denver and others.
About the final part, the creator of the series, Álex Pina, said, “When we began to write Part 5 in the midst of the pandemic, we felt that we had to change what was expected from the ten-episode season and used every tool we could to create the sensation of a season finale or series finale in the first volume itself. We decided to work in an extremely aggressive genre, putting The Gang on the ropes. In volume 2, we focus more on the emotional situation of the characters. It is a journey across their sentimental map that connects us directly to their departure.”
Money Heist stars Álvaro Morte as The Professor, Úrsula Corberó as Tokyo, Jaime Lorente Lopez as Denver, Alba Flores as Nairobi, Darko Peric as Helsinki, Itziar Ituño as Raquel, Esther Acebo as Monica, Hovik Keuchkerian as Bogotá, Rodrigo de la Serna as Palermo, Miguel Herrán as Rio, Pedro Alonso as Berlin, José Manuel Poga as Gandia and Najwa Nimri as Alicia Serria. Ever since the 4th season released on April 3, 2020 fans have been wanting to know when the 5th season will release. The final season will release on Netflix in two volumes - volume 1 on September 3, 2021, and volume 2 on December 3, 2021.
