HBO Max has dropped the first teaser trailer and poster art of their Gossip Girl reboot, which hits the streaming service on Thursday, July 8. The teaser trailer promises to deliver Gossip Girl’s usual sultry antics but this time coupled with social media and smartphones.
The reboot’s official logline states, “Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl. The prestige series will address just how much social media — and the landscape of New York itself — has changed in the intervening years.”
The secret is out.
