The trailer of Jennifer Aniston’s and Reese Witherspoon’s web series The Morning Show 2 has been released with its premiere date in place. The second season picks up from where the first Emmy-award winning one ended with ongtime co-host of the titular The Morning Show Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston) and new co-host Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon) have just gone public with the network’s history of turning a blind eye to inappropriate behaviour from some of its most lauded employees.
The second season’s trailer promises to ramp the drama up a few more notches. It appears that Alex leaves the network entirely after she and Bradley go public, which causes a new rift between the two anchors. Steve Carell’s character Mitch Kessler is also back, and Mark Duplass returns as well. Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Bel Powley, Desean Terry, Janina Gavankar, Tom Irwin and Marcia Gay Harden return as well and new additions include Julianna Marguiles, Greta Lee, and Hasan Minhaj, Ruairi O’Connor, Holland Taylor, Tara Karsian and Valeria Golino.

While releasing the new clip, the studio wrote, “Picking up after the explosive events of season one, season two finds The Morning Show team emerging from the wreckage of Alex (Aniston) and Bradley’s (Witherspoon) actions to a new UBA and a world in flux, where identity is everything and the chasm between who we present as and who we really are, comes into play.”
The hit show will be returning for a 10-episode second season on September 17, with one new episode weekly every Friday premiering on Apple TV+.
