Giving a fresh new take to the ever-popular fairytale Cinderella, Amazon Prime Video has unveiled the first teaser trailer of Camila Cabello starrer live-action film, Cinderella. The film is written and directed by Pitch Perfect creator Kay Cannon and is in no way affiliated with Disney. It shows Camilla’s Cinderella as Ella, a peasant girl with dreams of fashion design and ball attendance. Her fairy godmother takes a detour from the usual and is played by Billy Porter in a bedazzled deep yellow collar that is reminiscent of his red carpet attendances.

The film also stars Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver. Pierce Brosnan, John Mulaney, Romesh Ranganathan, Nicholas Galitzine and James Corden. The highly anticipated musical incorporates pop songs from contemporary global artists and original songs by Camila Cabello and Idina Menzel.

Cinderella is produced by Leo Pearlman, James Corden, Jonathan Kadin and Shannon McIntosh, and executive producers are Louise Rosner and Josephine Rose.

Cinderella marks the feature film debut of Cabello and Galitzine and will release on September 3, 2021, on Amazon Prime Video.
