Red Notice features Johnson as the FBI’s top profiler, Gal as the world’s most wanted art thief and Reynolds as the greatest conman the world has ever seen. They all come together for world’s greatest heist. The film has been written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber and has been produced by Johnson along with Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia through their banner Seven Bucks Productions. Thurber and Beau Flynn for FlynnPictureCo are other producers.
Red Notice was earlier with Universal after the studio acquired the project as a pitch post a bidding battle where Netflix came in second. However, the studio found it too expensive and had second thoughts about it, following which Netflix stepped in and acquired the project from Universal.
