Kriti Sanon is all set to tell a sensitive story of surrogacy with a dash of humour in Laxman Utekar-directed Mimi. The film written by Laxman and Rohan Shankar will premiere on Netflix and Jio Cinema on July 30. The trailer of the film introduced us to the character of Mimi played by Kriti. Now, the actress introduced us to Mimi's pillars of strength and support in a video. The makers of the surrogacy drama released a BTS video in which Kriti talked about her reel family members and friends.
Introducing Supriya Pathak as Mimi's mother, Kriti said she saw her own mother in the veteran actress. Talking about her reel father, Manoj Pahwa, Kriti said Mimi is more attached to him. Sai Tamhankar, who plays Mimi's best friend Shama, spoke about what she took back from Mimi. Kriti added that she wants to take Pankaj Tripathi in her family.
Mimi is about a dancer and aspiring actress from Rajasthan. Her life undergoes a major change when she is asked to become a surrogate mother for an American couple in exchange for money. But, her journey isn't free of obstacles.
