Sidharth Malhotra’s and Kiara Advani’s highly anticipated film Shershaah is nearing its release date. After lighting up the internet with the film’s trailer, now the makers released a BTS video of how Sidharth donned the character of Param Vir Chakra awardee and 1999 Kargil War hero, Captain Vikram Batra.
In the video, Sidharth said that for him the prep was not only physical but as well as mental and in fact this role was one of the toughest and needed the most amounts of hard work for him as an actor. Captain Vikram Batra’s twin brother Vishal Batra also lauds the actor’s dedication towards playing the revered army man. Kiara even said that Captain Batra’s parents were keen on Sidharth essaying their son’s role as they noticed some similarities between them.

The film is directed by Vishnu Varadhan and serves as his Bollywood directorial debut. Shershaah also stars Shiv Panditt, Raj Arjun, Pranay Pachauri, Himanshu Ashok Malhotra, Nikitin Dheer, Anil Charanjeett, Sahil Vaid, Shataf Figar, and Pawan Chopra in pivotal roles.
The film is jointly produced by Karan Johar under his Dharma Productions banner and Kaash Entertainment. Shershaah will release on August 12 on Amazon Prime Video.
