Modern-day Cinderella a.k.a Camila Cabello dreams of building her own fashion empire and not her Prince Charming; trailer out

Cinderella was a popular fairytale that we've been introduced to in our childhood. Now, the fairytale is getting a modern-day spin. Amazon Prime Video's Cinderella starring Camila Cabello will release on September 3 this year. Written and directed by Kay Cannon, the film retells the story with a twist. After much wait, the makers of Cinderella shared the trailer of the film.

Cinderella, the retelling of the classic fairytale, features Camila as Ella, who isn't searching for her Prince Charming. Instead, the peasant girl troubled by her evil stepmother and wicked stepsisters, dreams of building her own fashion empire. Ella is ambitious and not a damsel in distress. However, when her stepmother played by Idina Menzel bans her from going to the ball, and ruins her chances of showing her custom gowns, Ella meets her Fab G, played by Billy Porter.
