Netflix dropped the trailer for the upcoming sixth and final season of Lucifer recently. The trailer shows Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) and Chloe Decker (Lauren German) embroiled in a fight which ends in the latter holding Azrael's blade to the former’s neck. It seems they are having a hard time letting of their lives in Los Angeles and heading up to the Silver City as the once-Devil is touted to take up his rightful place on the throne after earning the title of God.
The trailer also gives rise to several questions as to why the duo seem to be animated versions of themselves and why is Brianna Hildebrand’s angsty angel Rory is hellbent on destroying Lucifer. The trailer also shows Lucifer’s dilemma in ascending the throne and because of his hesitation the world is coming undone.
Six incredible seasons. One epic conclusion.
