Ajay Devgn met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi today. The actor, whose film Bhuj: The Pride of India released today on Disney+Hotstar is busy promoting the film and took to social media to inform his followers that the leader watched some clips of the film. He also shared picture with the BJP leader and thanked him as the latter shared the news of the meet on social media.
Ajay tweeted, “Honoured to meet the Honourable Minister of Defence, India, Shri Rajnath Singh ji. He saw some clips of Bhuj:The Pride of India. For me, it was a befitting platform to showcase the film, that captured India’s victory over Pakistan 50 years ago. Jai Hind @rajnathsingh.”

Singh tweeted, “Met with renowned Hindi Film actor @ajaydevgn today. He is a wonderful actor and a good human being. He has made a film depicting the heroic efforts of the Indian Armed Forces during the 1971 war. I wish him success in his future endeavours.”

Bhuj: The Pride of India is set against the backdrop of Indo-Pak 1971 war. Ajay plays IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, who reconstructed an IAF airbase with the help of his team members and 300 women from the local village of Madhapar. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Pranita Subhash, Sharad Kelkar, Ammy Virk and Nora Fatehi. It is directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya.
