Ekta Kapoor informed all Pavitra Rishta fans that the second season of the show will premiere soon. The small screen Czarina posted a special video on her social media space to share that Pavitra Rishta 2.0 will be coming soon this Ganesh Utsav. The makers had earlier shared this time around, the show will be released on OTT platforms ZEE5 and ALT Balaji and will see Ankita reprise the role of Archana Deshmukh while Shaheer Sheikh will be seen donning the role of Manav Deshmukh, that was earlier played by late-actor Sushant Singh Rajput and later Hiten Tejwani.
Ekta shared the compilation of throwback videos and captioned it as, "GANPATI BHAPPA MAURYAComing soon ! To new beginnings #pavitrarishta coming soon on @zee5premium n then after few days on @altbalaji !" Ekta hinted at a Ganesh Chaturthi release with the video.
Pavitra Rishta premiered in 2009 with Ankita and Sushant as Archana and Manav. In 2011, Sushant quit the show and was replaced by Hiten Tejwani. Pavitra Rishta ended in 2014.
