What happens when the Badshah of Bollywood faces FOMO i.e Fear Of Missing Out? A new clip featuring Shah Rukh Khan was shared by Karan Johar today on social media that talks about how the actor has not jumped on the digital bandwagon unlike his contemporaries Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan and others.
The hilarious advertisement is made for Disney Plus Hotstar and shows SRK waving out to his fans from the balcony of his house Mannat while fellow actor Rajesh Jais, who starred with him in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi informs him that these fans might just be transitory and the fan following may evaporate soon. In the ad, SRK tells Rajesh, Dekha itne saare fans aate hai kabhi kisi ke ghar ke bahar (Have you seen so many fans gather outside any one's homes)?" Rajesh replied, "Nahi sir ab tak toh nahi dekha. Par aage ka kuch keh nahi sakte (No Sir, so far I haven't seen. But I don't know what will happen in the future)."
As he continued waving, Shah Rukh Khan asked, "Matlab (What do you mean)?" Rajesh responded, "Baki sab stars ke Disney+ Hotstar pe shows aur movies aa rahe hai na (All the other stars have their shows and movies on Disney+ Hotstar)." Shah Rukh asked him, "Accha? Kaun baaki sab (Really? Who all)?" Rajesh proceeds to name Saif, Ajay and Akshay and then reiterates that everyone is there except SRK who is left mystified and bewildered with the fear of losing his fans, all because he has not joined Disney Plus Hotstar.
KJo shared the video with the caption, “Never thought I’d see the day when even the Baadshah of Bollywood feels FOMO. Now I’ve seen everything!! @iamsrk.”
Ranveer Singh also shared the video on his Instagram account and captioned it, "Inka sans of humor toh alag hai bhaisahab!!! @iamsrk ko bhi fomo ho sakta hai (He has a different sense of humour. Even Shah Rukh can have FOMO)?? #siwaysrk #ad."
Shah Rukh Khan has been missing from the big screen for some time now. His last release was Zero in 2018 but the actor will soon be back with a bang with Atlee’s untitled film and YRF’s Pathan that also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. However, while SRK has produced a number of shows on OTT through his production banner Red Chillies Entertainment he is yet to make his digital debut. However, with this latest advertisement, we believe some new venture must be in the pipeline for King Khan on OTT.
