Karan Johar & 'The Adam Project' director Shawn Levy discuss their love for filmmaking & telling heartfelt stories in a candid chat

As the time travel adventure The Adam Project released on Netflix today, renowned Bollywood Director and Producer Karan Johar in collaboration with Netflix India unveiled a fun conversation with director Shawn Levy discussing their love for telling stories with an emotional core, the role of streaming platforms in breaking boundaries across the world, their creative processes and much more.

When asked about The Adam Project’s high concept being convincing and Shawn constructing that unapologetically, the filmmaker told KJo, "Ryan Reynolds and I met on Free Guy and we had this shared feeling that we both are at the stage of our respective careers and our lives where we want to tell stories that connect in a joyous manner. Free Guy was a comedy, The Adam Project is an adventure drama. The goal is the audiences’ pleasure. It’s a cynical world. So, to tell nice stories that cut through everything that’s deeply disappointing, I feel my job gets a purpose there. An important purpose."
