Netflix’s Bridgerton is back with a brand new season and yet another thrilling love story. The series has already become one of the most watched shows of the streaming giant with notching up 193 million views in its premiere weekend. Now, actors Charithra Chandran, , who plays the season's diamond Edwina Sharma, along with Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington or Lady Whistledown on the show, reacted to some popular romantic scenes from some of the biggest Bollywood blockbuster and gets blown away by Shah Rukh Khan, Sushmita Sen and Katrina Kaif.
In the video, Charithra gives a background about the films’ storyline to Nicola as they watch the scenes together. She says, “There's one thing that matches the romance and yearning in Bridgerton and that's Bollywood.” On seeing SRK and Kajol in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai rain dance scene, Nicola exclaims and says that she has heard Shah Rukh Khan’s name. She said, “I have heard that name!” and Charithra replied, “Very, very, very famous man.”
They check out scenes from Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Katrina Kaif and Hrithik Roshan in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. After watching Katrina Kaif’s bike scene from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Charithra said, “I love that it's the woman making the romantic gesture on the bike. She looks so glam on a bike, if that was me even filming, it'd be like…yeah,” with both of them agreeing on the fact that they would have been terrified riding a bike.
They also watched Sushmita Sen’s entry scene in Main Hoon Na, with Charithra calling it a “very iconic scene” and informs Nicola that the actress was crowned Miss Universe. She also remarks about SRK’s signature pose and tells her, “We all deserve a Shah Rukh Khan in our lives.” Nicola added, “I will never be over these. Major.”
